Nazan Feyzioglu is a self-taught visual artist whose practice is rooted in pattern, structure, and emotional storytelling. She began her artistic journey in 2015 with Mandala drawings, working within systems of precision and repetition that carry a distinctly mathematical quality. Seeking to move beyond the fixed geometry of Mandala, she later transitioned into Zentangle studies, embracing freer, more intuitive forms of mark-making.
Zentangle became a gateway into figuration for Feyzioglu. Over time, these elements evolved from independent patterns into integral components of fully figurative compositions. When viewed in isolation, the small marks may resemble abstract scribbles; however, when assembled, they transform into bodies, gestures, faces, and landscapes. Within the context of the painting, these abstract fragments are often interpreted as natural or psychological spaces—such as beaches, forests, or inner emotional terrains—shaping the atmosphere and narrative of each work.
Color plays a similarly intentional role in Feyzioglu’s practice. Rather than adhering to a signature palette, she selects colors in response to the emotional needs of each piece. Every artwork is created within a deliberately limited color range, allowing subtle tonal relationships to carry psychological and symbolic weight.
Nazan Feyzioglu participated in ArtAnkara International Contemporary Art Fair in March 2023. She held her first solo exhibition at Deppo29 in May 2023, followed by her second solo exhibition at FK Gallery in September 2023. In November 2023, she took part in Brussels Art Fair with Monat Gallery, and in January 2024 her work was featured in the group exhibition “White Noise” at Monat Gallery, Madrid.
As of 2026, Feyzioglu continues to develop her practice through international exhibitions and art fairs, focusing on character-driven, emotionally layered paintings that explore the intersection of pattern, figuration, and inner narrative.
